Meatloaf burger sub

Meatloaf usually doesn’t end up on our family’s menu, but we LOVE #burgers. Last night, I’ve tricked my kids into make them think we were having giant burgers for dinner. They ended up saying it was the best burger they ever had in the whole world.

The @nomadgrill is perfect for this recipe, in a heartbeat, you can melt the cheese on top while the loaves are grilling. Quick and so tasty. It’s really worth a try!

  • lb ground beef
  • cup parmesan cheese shredded
  • ½ red onion finely diced
  • ½ cup corn flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • cup cooked bacon chopped
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp chives chopped
  • ¼ cup BBQ sauce
  • 3 sub rolls

  • Light up some coals in your chimney
  • Pour the hot coals under the grilling grate
  • In a bowl, mix the ground beef, the parmesan cheese, the red onions, the corn flakes, the garlic, the bacon, the chives, the worcestershire sauce, the ketchup, the egg, the salt/pepper/paprika.
  • Mix well with a wooden spoon until all the ingredients are well blended together.
  • Use gloves for the meat manipulation.
  • Form 3 patties, about 6 inches long with the meat mixture. It should be about 1 inch thick.
  • Place the patties on the grilling grates and cook for about 5 minutes on one side
  • Flip the patties and add some shredded cheese on top of each loaf.
  • Add some more chopped bacon on top.
  • Close the lid and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Slice 3 sub rolls lenghtwise and toast on the grill for about 2 minutes.
  • Place the meatloaf on top of the toasted sub.
