Fiddlehead ferns sautéed with wagyu A5 beef

Equipment

  • For this recipe, i'm using my Nomad portative charcoal grill. You can perform this recipe with any other equipment of your choice

Ingredients
  

  • 5 oz Japanease A5 Wagyu steak
  • 1 tbsp truffle oil
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 shallot chopped
  • 1 cup fiddleheads
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Prior to grilling your fiddleheads, you will need to boil them for about 15 minutes, in order to avoid food poisoning.
  • Start your charcoal grill or wood fired grill.
  • In a cast iron cooking pan, heat some truffle oil.
  • Cook the slices of A5 Wagyu steak in the truffle oil. About 2 minutes each side.
  • When all cooked, set aside, leaving the melted fat in the cast iron.
  • Add some butter and the chopped shallot and wait for the butter to be all melted.
  • Add the fiddleheads and stir for about 4 minutes.
  • Serve with the cooked Wagyu strips.
