PITZZA on the griddle

Equipment

  • 360 XL Griddle Outdoor Cooking Station (Cuisinart)

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 large tortillas or Pita bread
  • 3 oz pepperoni sliced
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese grated
  • salt & pepper
  • ¼ cup fresh basil
  • 1 cup tomato and basil sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Start the griddle at medium heat.
  • Oil the cooking surface with olive oil.
  • Lay the pepperonni slices on the griddle, on a surface that is approximately the size of the tortillas or the pita.
  • Top the pepperoni slices with mozarella cheese.
  • Lay a tortillas or a pita on top of the cheese.
  • Cook for about 3 minutes, then flip it over.
  • Cook for another 3 minutes.
  • Remove from the griddle and season with salt and pepper.
  • Cut in triangle pieces and garnish with fresh basil.
  • Use a tomato and basil sauce for dipping.
