Orange and soy Flanken style short ribs

Ingredients
  

  • 4 lbs Flanken style short ribs
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds

Marinade

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • ½ cup maple sirup
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 cup Cuisinart Barrel Whiskey BBQ sauce

Instructions
 

  • Mix all the marinade ingredients together and whisk
  • In a large container with a lid or in a large sealable bag, marinate the short ribs for a minimum of 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • When ready to grill, start your griddle at high.
  • Remove the short ribs from the container and pour the extra marinade in a sauce pan
  • Transfer the short ribs on the griddle and cook for about 4 minutes.
  • Turn them over and brush the other side with some of the leftover marinade and cook for 4 more minutes.
  • Remove from the griddle and brush with some more marinade.
  • Sprinkle some sesame seeds and serve hot.
